I am still on the case with my local Longlife agent , he is waiting for a schematic drawing from the Stockport Longlife agent. If it does not show it might mean a trek in the Zed to Stockport after giving them a call , will I need a passport :)

I've been waiting 3 days for Craig in Stockport to confirm my order - I wondering if he's off on holiday or something?

Are you not both having them made "on the car?" If so I thought it would be just a case of booking it in. Just to clarify, I left mine with them and they made it to fit. It wasn't an "off the shelf" product. They say approx 4 hours. Hope this helps ! Also with small companies, I never email. I only use the old fashioned phone method lol!

Craig has got back to me. Its booked in for the week after next. He just wanted to know my noise level preference - there were 2 choices 'Mid sports' and 'Full sports'. Guess which I've opted for

How are you guys getting on with these a few months down the line, still pleased?

Rob

That still has to be paid for :( - picking it up Saturday

I quite often yearn for something a little more sonorous myself, but then I remember the lotus & the splitting headaches

Ridiculously loud stage 1 lotus performance exhaust

My local Longlife centre totally refused to do this kind of exhaust for me they said they would cut the pipes halfway down the car and weld their system on,which I did not want, I was just after slimmer backboxes.

Got my Longlife Exhaust back box made today, by topgearstockport.co.uk

2 staggered, 3 inch slash cut tails, so quite discreet, but clearly different, unlike the noise lol! It sounds freekin awesome!
Little bit boomy on the motorway, so going to experiment with sound deadening in the boot and adding some foam back to the sound pipe!
May get better as it soots up, but will live with it for the race car sound on acceleration!

Cost is around £300 fitted, 4 hours approx ! Can be made quieter and your old box can be put back on later if you wanted!
Workmanship is top notch and the welding is mint! I would say equal to the Eisenmann race i had on my last z, but far cheaper!

Noise at start up is lovely, around town is stunning and some nice, not too loud pops on overrun! Cruising on the Motorway is fine, just a bit loud on a low revs pull, but you could have it made quieter and there are plenty of tailpipes to choose from!
I will change the clamps to Mikalor though, use them on all my cars!

I'm looking at the same set up potentially, are there any issues with exhaust sensors with the Longlife exhaust? Thanks.

Shouldnt make any difference as all lambdas are in the front manifold cat pipe.Try Longlife in Basingstoke as they make a lot of BMW exhausts for a local company who make Ferrari reps using Z3's .
