Longest time without a drive

Just a word of warning for some of you, tried to start my car today after 5/6 weeks of sitting and it wasnt happy. Got it started eventually but :(
 
Yeah, but if you had it on a trickle charger it'd be fine :thumbsup: ...need a garage though :(
 
Mine is around 5 weeks when I was on Holiday will give her a run Next Sat then off the road to new Year keep away from all those xmas shoppers worrying about getting little Johnny's xbox and not concentrating on the driving
 
We've only had it a couple of months but I think the longest was 10 days! It had been tucked up in the garage over last weekend as it was so wet but yesterday afternoon the sun came out so roof down, heated seats and steering wheel on and off for a drive round the lanes. Same will happen today once hubby has got some work problems sorted :D

Good point, may need to look at a decent one. I know BMW do some, who does the best?

+1 on CTEK...

Just to add, mines been in the garage, in gear, handbrake off, on trickle since end September. Came back yesterday, started up first time, no seizing on brakes etc. Done this a few times now, longest period being 4 months and never had a single issue with it being laid up.
 
Mines been sat on the drive for about 6 weeks. Went to start it this week and the battery was dead. Stuck it on charge all day yesterday and taking it out to the inlaws this afternoon.

Reminds me of my remote control car days waiting for it to charge before I could take it out. Albeit for 15 minutes of fun before the battery died!

Probably as it stands , 2 weeks as we speak. However I've only driven it twice this month :-( If this train from Paddington hurries me back to Bath, I'm going to go thrash it down to Cheddar Gorge !!! :-D
 
Just spent nearly 2 weeks with out driving the Z4 as i train to work now.
Was nice to get out and about in it though, still love it.
