Hi i'm Essi,
From the USA (Represent! I know there's little on this board so far)
I'm actually not a Z owner yet, but I'm going to see this 2003 z4 3.0i tomorrow with high hopes of buying it, I already test drove a 2.5, and the little extra umph will probably sell me
Currently i'm driving an automatic 330ci (E46), and to be honest I don't want to part with it, it's just an all around great car, but the ability to get my greedy finger on a 6 speed with the same power, means goodbye! Not to mention I just hit 151k on it today, still runs like a champ though.
This is what I'm looking at:
It's a 2003 with 45k has every package except for the sport (I think) 6 spd manual, heated seats... They are asking 15k, which is about 1k less than book value retail on the nada guide.
The only things I really don't like about the car is the steering wheel, its just hideous, and the fact that BMW thinks I'd rather have run flat tires instead of a god forsaken spare. I'm not sure how I feel about the convertible top, this would be my first convertible.
Planned mods, if all goes well of course:
Short shift kit
Multifunction steering wheel
Figure out some way to get a damn spare for the car outside that $260 kit leather (something) sells
I'd like a hardtop for winter
Open to other suggestions...
and one day, if I choose not to upgrade to an M coupe, a supercharger... I have done so much research on this car already and I don't even own it yet... I'm going to be so pissed if something makes the deal go south.
