Long shot but has anyone got a spare set of rear trailing arms for a Z4M these are different to a non M but how much I do not know just a different part number

Reason for asking is I would like to refurbish mine down to a complete strip down and powder coat and new bits like the wheel bearings etc.

Having a spare set would allow me to keep the car on the road it is sorn'ed until the spring but I have the front end in a hundred bits and counting so may run out of time and still waiting for an oil pump so the rebuild has not started yet.

I there are non for sensible money I will wait until next winter as it would take me around 6 weekends to complete the work strip clean powder coat re build re fit etc. due to me living 125 miles from my car during the winter.

They are around £700 each from BMW

Ebay probably your best bet but can't imagine any would come up apart from on a written off car, keep an eye out on breakers yards.

Why are you replacing the oil pump out of interest? ££££

Oil pump is being replaced as a precaution as recommended by Mr Vanos due to the amount of work to get to it as I have done the rod bearings.

Suprised he recommended that to be honest. Not a part you often see failing. Isn’t it the best part of £700 for a replacement?! If you’ve got the money to do so though definitely can’t hurt!

Aren't the rear trailing arms the same as the E46 M3 ones. Might we worth checking real oem as I'd bet ones off an E46 M3 would be easier to find than Z4M ones

BMW system shows it as a unique part the Z4M did try looking it could be a small insignificant difference but I would need t know what it is.

Damaged RTABs make an already twitchy car much more twitchy.

I had both of mine replaced after my accident as they were adding the equivalent of about 0.5° toe, making the car a bit unpredictable in the twisties.

Mine were about £900 iirc.
