So this weekend went up to the Brecon Beacons and did the 4 waterfalls walk. Got down on one knee behind the last one and she said yes! Got a bit wet but was worth it. She had no idea and I'd snuck some champagne in my bag so we had that and some sandwiches to celebrate haha.

Seriously though OP, sorry to hear of your loss but it sounds like you gave your mate a proper send off.

And now the good lady has said yes you have good things to look forward to, so enjoy!

The other business must have been tough - I speak as someone who did a the Eulogy recently for a pal of over 50 years standing. Watery eyes and quivering lip the whole way thro!
