Long long drive today.

go up the Brecon Beacons either top of pen y fan mountain or there's a great walk in a gorge where you walk behind several big waterfalls.
Getting a bit of training in for the SAS selection course while you're at it? Practical thinking...

Like you I don't understand why people shut their cars away for the winter (unless you live in a climate that's regularly snowbound and sees -20 C), these cars are designed to work in harsh environments :idunno:

Anyway, looked like a great and rewarding journey, good luck with the proposal and keep us all updated and guys, it's not how and where you propose, it's the unexpectedness that's important.

. . .

I bought it as a spring/summer car so it won't come out til the weather gets better, sad I know but as it's a roadster I wanted to keep it away from the winter months. Not long now!!

You must have superhuman levels of control :!: :driving:

Go on then MM - tell us how :)

LOL we went away for my birthday many years ago now!! So the wife was expecting the weekend to be all about me. Well we had booked a nice Hotel in Bath. And on the way there we stopped at a folly (Beckford's Tower) on the way. Well, i had arranged to have some chocolates and a bottle of champagne waiting at the top for us.

So when we got to the top I drooped to one knee half knackered and out of breath. Then stumbled my way through telling her why she was the woman i want to spend the rest of my life with. I asked she said yes. I ate chocolate she drank champagne (i was driving) Happy ever after  :) :D

sorry to hear of your sad news over xmas (my nan died xmas day so i know how crap it can be over a period of time thats supposed to be happy)

See that's perfect, completely oblivious to what's happening and thus such a surprise when it's happening. The more complicated you make it the harder it is to conceal what's happening..... well done monkey

Thanks Sars.

I must remind my wife what a great husband i am soon. She thinks she is a garage/car widow at the moment!!

Brutal day today. The RAF had a few typhoons fly over the church. Very sad all in but a good group of lads had an impromptu game of rugby in the nant hotel in Prestatyn which was amazing considering it was a bar with very little space was class haha. A lot of war stories were told and Ben Hilton Woosey AKA Paris were honoured as anyone would expect.

"Paris" - of course...
I worked with a guy who we all knew as 'Energizer' because he was full on all over the place like the Energizer bunny. Wasn't until one day I had to ask his boss where he was that I realised I had no idea what his actual name was (after knowing him for about 2 years). Bit embarrassing, but his boss eventually clued me in and put me out of my misery.

Are you a pilot or a mechanic?
