London to Newcastle

im hating town planners this very minute. reading through tones of movement and transport papers for a proposed newcastle developement. who writes 200 pages on footflow and cycle lanes :headbang:

Nothing prepared for submission, just a meeting with locals to get their opinions....


Made really good time, left at 4am, and got here at 8.....only one zed so far ...

Quick Q, think the E89's are ment to drink 0W 30 oil, but I cold only ge 0W 40....would that make a huge difference?

Just got back home.....700 miles in a day, and the Z worked a charm....very comfy, only stopped for fuel...

25mpg, not great but ok...

4 hours there, and 5 hours back.....

Huge site, In a place called West Boldon...near South Shields....

Glad I drove and didn't take the plane....
 
Like the train, but prefer driving so good choice, 4 hours to Newcastle wow, no wonder it was only 25 mpg :D
 
But I left at just before 4 am this morning.......coupled with an awful nights sleep as they are resurfacing the road right outside my house from 8pm to 6am..... :cry:

Great trip and very productive.

My site that went down earlier this year and didn't let me but a new car was for 14 flats in a listed barn...the same owner has a 145 acre site above it, willing to be considered by the local planning authority for development. It's just getting the residents on board now....
 
Wow good progress. Mind you £180 in petrol costs, near enough double the time a return train journey would've taken and no chance to work whilst travelling. Good job I'm not your client paying by the hour! :D
