First time. Pretty smashed up too and in a lot of pain. Will see neurology this week and see what they say. Thanks

Might be the last time I drive

Blimey Nick. Really sorry to hear this. Get well soon.

Anyone else had any tickets through yet? TBH I didn't see the 20 limit on the bridge...would only be sheer luck if one wasn't on it's way.

Alas, it is indeed a 20mph average speed zone on Tower Bridge!

It's [apparently] not there as a money making scheme, but rather to minimise damage to the structure.

Best wishes Nick hope you get well soon .

I checked my tracker for the Tower Bridge section its showing average speed of 21mph so i think i will be ok and anyone that was behind me should be ok too .

sorry to hear your new Nick and get well soon

as for the speed limits and other parking regulations in london, its a joke this is why people are not bothering with car meets and tunnel runs now. i went up there november time with my mate, and i got stuck at the lights turning left to go over the bridge to the london eye. my mate pulled up in the last parking bay outside the eye to wait for me to catch up. when i got there i pulled in behind him, there was nothing parked but us and a traffic car stopped and told us to move on. i know we was in the wrong stopping there but he was waiting for me, she said you have been seen on the camera so you have already been done now move on. to this day both of us did not get any fine through for it, but it was just the attitude of the woman that peed me off.

What do you mean you just got it? I thought you got it in january?

Stark was still the registered keeper so he was issued the NIP at the time of his accident which delayed things.
So was awaiting him to send off, hence me receiving the NIP 3 months after the event.

PVR due to a delay in reg documents being assigned we had to re do them and then penalty came to me when I was in hospital. It got changed over in March when I came out and sent to Speedy Jim!

Ah, but as you did not have a license Stark, you could have taken the points on a non existing one :D

£100 and 3 points.
Insurance just up for renewal and has increased by £70 and an extra £250 on my accidental damage excess.

Be careful out there folks. :D

Don't get me started on the insurance scam with that one ... only in the UK have they got this weird correlation between points and insurance.

I can get caught 1000 times in my car in Europe for speeding, but that has no impact on the insurance - but being caught here does.

London driving is super risky, if it's a tunnel, or a bridge, be careful. Someone i know ( ) once got a speeding awareness course for the limehouse link whilst returning from some late night datacenter work years ago.

However, bank holiday/sunday driving around the city with tall buildings makes for some excellent exhaust acoustics.. i can't wait to own a V12 Aston.. :D
