London Meet - 27/02/2011

Argh!

I arrived at the meet location at 09:48, right behind me was Kish in a black Z4MC...

We drove around for 15 mins in case we were in the wrong bit, but everyone had left!!!!

We had our own mini-meet of 2 and took some photos in the sun. :driving:
Real shame I didn't get to meet everyone this time, but the photos look good so far.

Next time Gadget, next time. :D

I think we were still there, just round the back :( :(

Yeah, I think we left about 10.15? Since we had to wait for me to actually turn up, after I'd followed two Z4's who weren't even going to the meet so then got lost and had to find my own way there

Peddy and NickM, thanks guys, as others have said, a great day. Lovely spot for lunch too - not just because it allowed srhutch to take one of the best photos ever

aquazi, sorry, we'll need to sort out a blast of the exhaust at the next meet

Special mention to ga41 for the extra effort in making it along and coping with the language barrier. Okay, Lucy too.

We got split up, it rained in the afternoon and we had single track antics, but when all is said and done, a really fun day out with a good group of people (some of who had names... the rest of you :? )

Great way to spend a Sunday

Sorry to have missed this, especially since I grew up in Beaconsfield and know the roads pretty well... :P
Unfortunately, the small matter of an exam next Saturday kept me at home studying all weekend. Next time...

Promise next one won't be in London...too much traffic etc...but saying that, Windsor was good and bad - great for the pit stop by the castle and not so good for when we all got split up....

No good speeds either...and only used half a tank of fuel!!

Great bunch of people......a memorable day...and gather at Berry was cool too...

No! :o
We were outside the Berry bit with their BMWs with the numbers stuck on the roofs. Drove around the whole industrial estate but no Z4s to be seen!

Ah well, next time... ;)

That was the service section, we were behind the car showroom...don't worry though, 6 others did then same thing......sorry sat nav took you there and not to the showroom

This was my first Z4 meet, and have to say i had a blast.... admittedly i got lost far to many times.. but i felt that added to the experiance... next time i wont even attempt to use the BMW nav unit.

A big thanks to Peddy and Nickm... they organised a good meet and the pub food was great.

And to all of those i spoke to... it was great to finally put a name to a face (even if it is just a user name as i was terrible with "real" names!) What a great friendly bunch you all are... definetly one of the friendly car clubs i have been a member of.

I have taken far too many pictures - just under 1GB!.. which will take forever to go through.. even have a video of the "re-parking" that went on in the pub car park

Some pictures for now:

Well i got back to Portsmouth at around 8. I feel knackered and i didnt even drive. I was only with about 3 and a half hour's sleep though!

I had fun overall and it was great to meet everyone in person. I regretted not introducing myself to more people though. So many new faces but not enough (user)names to put them together.

I've shot some OK pics and some OK videos which i'll upload tomorrow.

Great to meet some more of you lot - thanks for leading for a while Ben. Know it was a tough call between us and the other meet today :P

Quick sorry to PVR, Gannet, Daveg, CJ10Jeeper and Flimper for taking them down the muddiest lane in the UK

At one point I thought you were having a laugh seeing to what lengths we would follow you :D

So talking of Pink Zeds and I mean Barbie pink not timt.

Nick saw it drive by at the start and I saw it park up on the village square opposite the pub. Vanished by the time the group arrived. We certainly had a stalker today.

Very 'Christine'...

I also saw the real pink Z4, heading the opposite direction about 20 mins from the pub. Odd though cos I wasn't even on the official route anymore by that point...

Come on owner of the Barbie pink Z4 ...let's have an introduction :driving:

Great meet! Thanks to Peddy and NickM for organizing. We were unlucky with the weather in the afternoon, and could not go for a proper drive, but I am sure ther will be opportunities for that in the future.

Blueshoe, you must have been over the road from us. We did not leave BMW until 10.15.

it's my bad, i didn't put my name down for the meet so didn't have peddy's number. It was a last minute decision to head down this morning.
Can't wait to for the next meet now and meet you all!

This is the GPS tracked route the front group took round Windsor thanks to the Pink Z4M

No wonder we lost half the group, Thanks Nick :poke:
