Ok, planning the route this week, with a little help from some of you on here.....please let me have your food options please, before I have to start PM ing you....thanks!!

Meet time is 9.30 am at Berrys. Please remember it is at the actual showroom, and not the service centre behind the industrial estate opposite. For clarity it is on the same side as Homebase, the VW Garage etc.....

We had a great showing of 25 cars last year and let's hope for more this year.

Now, can I have some offers of assistance in volunteering for another 2 members to help lead the group and to keep us together, in the middle and towards the rear.....

Looks good mate, I'll take a look but we've booked the lunch and the car park for the Crown, and quite a few of us went there last year and enjoyed it....but if you think they will accommodate us there after luch for a secondary stop as well be heading up near there, and maybe we can have a few soft drinks and some crisps?

Thanks

Just spoke to my friend who owns this pub, he is more than happy for you all to pop in on that Sunday - you can then scope the place out for a future venue? If you can confirm if you are going to go there and a rough idea of time and he'll reserve the garden area for you all to park (keeps you all together and away from public parking so great for photos etc)

Here is Facebook of the pub, loads of pictures on there https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Red-Lyon/179171712113658

We went here on Sunday, very impressed.

On our wandering way to the pub, we went through Henley and there were loads of signs for Henley Boat Races on Sunday 25th March - so we might want to avoid that area.....

Boat race or not, with more than a handful of cars, stay well clear of Henley! Especially coming from that direction.

As for the actual route on the day, it might be worth heading up towards Rickmansworth and then looping back round - a few of us were out that way for a PH Sunday Service, some nice roads.

Btw guys the pub is not in Henley, its agood 5miles out of it, literally just off the A404 so ideal for large convoys! Trust me, we've done it plenty of times and on busier days than a boat race day :)

ok, confirm me up :D new pass now negotiated ;)

As gannet said there are a few of us, where are you starting from?

Up double early then with the clock going forward, no doubt that will raise a laugh with the Mrs. :headbang:

Pazza I think I mention on your post a time of 8.30 I think it's only about 30 mins to London for the 9.30 meeting time . But I'll let you set the times and places on your post , might be worth posting up Earley part of next week .

I know, but Henley has been mooted a few times before, I think it's best avoided... never been to any of the pubs in Hurley though, so will definitely check that out

hi chaps, I'm interested in this and just need to check with hubby if doable on the date - am a newbie here though and this would be my first time in a convoy if it's not too late  based in Surrey if anyone is heading up from Leatherhead/Dorking way... :)

I am planning a route this week, any offers of help appreciated. Have got it covered from London to the M40, thinking of coming off at the Slough turn off and heading up the A40, and having a pit stop along the way. Would really appreciate some people offering to take up the middle and the rear to keep people all together....

We have 30 plus cars to the event now....glad its not this weekend, as weather not great....

I will post a message to remember the clocks change!!

Hi all,

this is Dave from the Red Lyon, if we are on your cruise just let me know as I will make the paddock available for the cars, as you can see from the Ferrari days the piccies are quite cool on the field.

As per previous posts the traffic is absolutely fine if you come in on the Motorway side and we can easily accomodate all of the cars together.

Will be great to see you,

Thanks Dave, we will def stop off at yours after lunch if that's ok....well be coming from Marlow end, so will check out a route and be in touch re times....
