Yes the thought of 24 very loud racing cars zooming past her front door might prevent this ever happening

As was discussed on Radio 4 this very morning. Lots of harumphing from the Telegraph etc about London becoming a backdrop to sporting events and royal galas blah blah blah

Doesn't queenie have double glazing? And with that balcony, the best view in the world of a good long straight with an ace corner at the end. In fact why not have the pitstop in Buck House's courtyard

Mind you, what's the betting Bernie will secure personal money for hosting his touring circus in a location we already own... :headbang:

I think there is more chance of the queen driving an F1 car than the race ever happening sadly!

I pray i'm wrong though! I saw the McLaren demo in Manchester last year and it sounded amazing going down the main road!

I'm with you there... would be great a spectacle though!

Finally the London roads will have a good road surface.

Either that or 2 cars will survive the race

Need for Speed Shift games have London City tracks - great fun blasting down the Embankment and over Westminster Bridge at 150mph :D

Agree - it would be awsome. Though the Thames is nothing like Monte Carlo's harbour

Would be great as long as it's the European GP, and not replacing Silverstone! Two races in Britain would be fantastic, especially given a year or two ago Bernie was threatening no British GP at all.

Now, you've got me thinking there adamski. I wonder if I could set a race up round my way... if it gets the roads fixed...

If he was on the ball he could run the race past his £75m mansion and then claim damages for aural harassment & breach of the peace fom Westminster Council under a pseudonym. After all, he needs a bit of pension :D
