London - E-Type Jag Stolen last night [re-sharing]

Help share this around for any sightings.

My mates E-Type was stolen last night from London NW8
If anyone has any sightings of this car please let me know and Met Police.
(where else is a good place to share this info please share)

E-type hatchback.
Distinguishing features

Left hand drive.
Missing trim bits from inside as he was refurbishing the head cloth etc.
Its also very loud you might hear it coming before you see it.

Was last seen driven away by car thief around 1am yesterday from St Johns Wood, police are investigating, but no sightings. Owner is distraught as this car was very special to him.

It had very little fuel in and has a locking fuel cap so could not have been driven very far as we still have the keys.

Bloody horrible when this happens, I bet it was put straight into the back of a covered transporter, so will be unseen as it's driven away. It will either be taken abroad as it's a LHD or broken for spares. I'm amazed it didn't have a tracker fitted though.
 
That is a real shame.

Regarding the tracker - with tracker blocking devices that you just plug in for next to nothing, it blocks the signal anyway. Does an eType have a cigarette lighter though to plug one of those in.

Seriously! Was not aware, that's well rubbish!
 
Sounds like it was parked out side the service garage, that's clearly not written by the owner. Says it was driven away too. Old car any half decent scouser could probably get around the security. :wink: But only a total scum bag would nick such a beautiful work of art. :cry: :thumbsdown:

Unfortunately there is big money in breaking classics for parts, you can't just leave cars like this parked on the road side over night :(
