Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

One intermittent issue I've had since getting my 2004 E85 a year ago is the gas tank lid lock. It works most of the time, but occasionally decides it couldn't be bothered for a stretch, and then will perk up and start working again.

And more recently a similar issue has appeared with the passenger side door lock. It'll always lock properly via the cabin button or key button, but occasionally it won't unlock properly. Then out of the blue, when it's in a good mood, it'll suddenly start working flawlessly for a stretch.

Since both of these issues are so intermittent and unpredictable I'm not prepared to spend time and money tracking down the cause at the moment (I have discussed this my dealer), and am basically just waiting for something to crap out altogether. Intermittent problems can be hell to pin down.

Any experience or ideas?
 
Not had or heard of the issue myself ZeeFore, hopefully someone else might be able to offer some advice. Let us know if you find out the cause.

So it's likely either the solenoid(s) or the GM5 thingy.
Since the door lock problem is only happening on the passenger's side, I'm leaning slightly towards solenoid.

I'll keep an eye on it and let you know when I find out for sure.
 
Take the time to read through the GM5 info and don't hesitate emailing Scott, he's a very knowledgable and great guy.
