Anyone upgraded the std wheel anti-theft bolts im not sure there secure enough.

There are after market set available just wondered how many have upgraded.

To be honest none are infallible with today's fancy over the counter tools - there was some discussion about this a little while ago, a couple of members sound like they've had a chequered past! I've stuck with the standard ones.

Get two different sets of locking ones so you at least pose a bit more of a conundrum to the casual thief. They'll get anything if they're determined enough though I guess?

And give a key socket each to a twin and send them to live in different countries.

Have you been reading the Da Vinci Code again?

Tbh if they've got the tools, then they're either going to not worry about this or get pissed off and smash your car up. I'd rather they just took the wheels tbh.

Locking nuts does present an obvious question (to me) though. Most people keep their adaptors in the glove box, so what's to stop a thief smashing the passenger window and just getting the sat nav, adaptors and wheels in one hit? Obv. not such a problem with the Z4 given the adaptor isn't in the glovebox, it's harder to gain entry to a boot than smashing a window.

Locking wheel nuts prevent the opportunist thief which is the majority. Changed mine to a set of Schnitzer locking nuts bought from the Forum secondhand. Much better quality but look about the same as OEM in terms of security. You can always fit two sets for expensive wheels.....
