Locking Question

When I lock the car (2011 e89) with the top down, the center console locks, but you can still open the trunk by reaching into the car and pushing the trunk button. Is there a way to defeat that via coding. I would like the trunk to be locked. Sometime I have a handgun in there, and as it is now, I have to put the top up to protect the trunk from thieves.

If I lock mine with the roof down and the windows up, if i reach inside the alarm goes off straight away.
Given how difficult it is to reach that button with the windows up maybe that would be deterrent enough?
 
Good point, I have not tried it with the windows up. With the car locked, windows and top down, I can reach down and press button to open trunk. I'll try it later today with windows up.
 
If you have locked the car the alarm should sound if you reach into the interior space, even with the roof down!
