Hi there,
Just had the my 2004 z4 out on a 400 road trip and it had driven faultlessly, however the engine management light came on orange. Now back home and plugged the diagnostic tool in an got the following codes:
6128 vehicle speed
612B sport button signal
2882 fuel trim bank 1
2883 fuel trim bank 2
278d temperature sensor radiator outlet
27A4 interface EWS 3. 3-DME
279D engine fan activation
24 switch, convertible top stowed, undefined voltage range
21 switch, cowl panel unlocked undefined voltage range
The roof is working fine, no issues,
The temp has sat as it should bang in the middle and has not moved the entire journey, (when it got to temp)
I have checked the inlet pipe and all is good there, was replaced with a genuine one less than a year ago.
The car has been running no problem at all and it seems weird that all these codes suddenly appear. I have reset them and will monitor what is going on, however could this be a sign my battery is on it’s way out? It did go flat over Christmas, however I got it back to full charge and the car has always started fine ever since.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
TIA
Paul
