Does anyone know of a cable you can tap into that only becomes live with the ignition?

I am looking at an AUX in solution with charge, but the cigaret source is always live - even when the engine is off. This is an interim solution while I save up for an intravee! £20 versus £200!
 
Doesnt matter- I think ill use the live from the cigaret but with a switch - apparently any other live with ignition feeds needs regulators.
 
just a thought, but from the fusebox and a breakout fuse?

Though I've not gotten around to finding out where the fuse boxes are, I'd imagine there to be one inside the car that could serve your needs.

I have a piggyback blade fuse adaptor connected to the cd changer, then fitted a second cig socket behind my dash... To power my road angel.

I didn't bother in the end, the cable came with USB so I just routed it near the existing cig lighter. It will hide away in the ash tray when not in use.

I've got aux working but lost nav voice and probably Bluetooth. Looks like ill have to dismantle and play with the plugs/cables. Research shows me I need to add the three aux cables to the existing plug...

I had the same problem and fixed it by adding pins to the existing plug as you say
