Little girl on bike decided to use my car to stop.

im sure hell do the decent thing and pay up especially if its reasonable

Most people think that any damage is no more than £100.

Having had a bumper repaired on a BMW in the past, it was about £250 - £300, so I think that the funds might suddenly not appear when he finds that out ….

I've been quoted £168 by the chipsaway people. I'm gonna get a few more quotes today. I told him to expect a bill of around £250 so hopefully he can pay up.

BMW quoted me £180 to fix, which I'm pretty happy about. I was expecting them to be a lot more. Family seem to be decent and are going to pay up too. So far all is well.....So far.

That little kid will be doing the housework for the next few months then  good, serves the little s**t right! Maybe in future she'll think twice before going hell for leather and bricking it.

Saw this on FB yesterday.
Such a shame and I hope they do the decent thing and cough up.

Are there any witnesses as you could involve le polizzia if need be....

Yeah there were a few witnesses, they were the ones who told me it had happened. I doubt the police would do anything though due to the age of the kid involved. No guilty intent and all that jazz. hopefully with the parents paying up it should be the end of it.

In the mean time i'm getting a garage an no longer parking on the street!

+1

I do feel sorry for the parents as well. They're probably more ashamed than the kid will be. Accidents will happen...
Hope it all goes well, for all parties. :-)

 it's only harsh if you let your kids act like morons. Kids need to have respect for other peoples property.

I've had kids playing football outside and a few times they booted the ball up in the air and it came down on cars. Easy to cause dents that way.

I'm sure you wouldn't mind if they damaged your pride and joy.

Kids are not fitted with location beacons and mini CCTV cameras. They play, that's what they do... And sometimes accidents happen. Luckily it was spotted and, yes, she'll be in trouble. A lot. And she will learn, because that's also what kids do. I could be wrong (and if I am, I apologise) but I'm guessing you don't have kids yet Ben ? They're a lot harder work than anyone thinks before they have them

I don't yet, but I grew up with a baby twin brother and sister. Can't say we ever damaged anyones property. But hey, I guess my parent's weren't chavs with 300 kids.

The little kid could've just got distracted and bumped into it, accidents happen lol i'd like to think she's not just going "tonight...you" and ploughing into cars for the craic.

s**t happens, let's hope the family doesn't see it plastered all over the Internet and refuse to pay. I know I wouldnt.

I'd go BMW personally but my local BMW dealer (Chandlers in Hailsham) use chipsaway and just charge a premium for the job! I was told this by the chipsaway Manager at their Hailsham branch! :o

All the talk of kids playing reminded me of an incident when I was about 10 with our then neighbours. Back in the 80s, me and my younger brother were playing cricket in the road, as you do or rather did back then. When we went to go back in the house my brother was "windmilling" the cricket bat as we walked. Will never forget the moment it slipped out of his hands and seeing the bat fly through the air hit the neighbours bonnet. He was out in seconds and we were in our house in seconds. Genuine accident, non intentional and my dad paid up and my brother was in a world of trouble. It is easily done but when it's your pride and joy, I can understand the anger.
