Only like the little lips myself i think the bigger ones spoil the shape of the car, Looking good on above cars think it should look good on my black mc, Think i will have to get mine ordered and let the misses buy it me for xmas,
i too have the spoiler on my black sapphire ///mc which looks very nice
i think it does create a small amount of down force as the front end at speed seems lighter :o
If you think that spoiler creates any meaningful or noticeable aero effect :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed: :D It's purely cosmetic.

Just because you have a picnick table on back end of your car :poke:

Actually it reminds me of a small winged tatoo on a girls backside (sort of pointing the way). :P

+1 :) -each to their own tho.[/quote]

As say in previous quote just like the look of it, Its not an F1/race car so not to worried about down force, :)

It could make a difference as it's basically a gurney flap.

This is really interesting and would explain why etedlm finds the front a little light at speed with the rear lip spoiler:

etedlm, have you noticed better rear end grip, but more understeer too?

Perhaps the best handling solution would be the spoiler plus increased front camber? :driving:

bmwz4mc,
i can't say that i have noticed extra grip going round corners as i think i would have to be on a track to notice that but at speed on the motorway the front end does feel lighter :o
if i remember right,on topgear i think it was jaguar who added o small lip to the back of a car and clarkson made a point of this on the programme saying that the front end felt light on the car.

I got them with the car about a month ago, from Lloyd BMW in Carlisle. They were in pretty bad nick, with a lot of pitting so had BMW refurb them all. Looks sweet now!

I think the carbon spoiler looks very nice. Its a shame as they don’t do a carbon fiber one for the Z4MR.

just a thought guys: does anyone produce a CSL style duck backside (with a rounded kickup spoiler integrated into the hatchback's bodywork)rear boot for the Z4MC/R? They do for M3's... :?

Bit of a late thread post.....but here's mine fitted

:)

I'm still in 2 minds about getting one, after my old car which was 30% carbon paneling, I like the subtle approach now. Wouldn't know whether to have it sprayed body coloured though

I got one of these via ebay .de (when I had my coupe). £30 brand new in the box (and I think that included postage :D ). - I cannot believe the BMW price that you are quoted!!

30 quid!!!!! That's actually unbelievable. Even with the discount my mate at BMW got it was fully fitted for 249 quid. Weep.

Oh well it was still worth it...even though im basically the only one who notices it/looks at it in minute detail...

I had to fit mine myself. I bought the tube of black gunk from BMW. Not a nice job. Did look good when finished. Got pics somewhere.
