Just a thought - I wonder if it would help to talk to the mechanic thats gonna do the work, assuming they assign it to 1 person. That way you can show him the exact problems, cos sometimes the job-sheet explanation isn't brilliant and if you get a knuckle dragger mechanic, you've got no hope of him reading a vague job sheet.
The other benefit of this, is that you actually see him...and he sees you, hopefully he will then take "ownership" of the problem. Obviously though, if this happens, you have to be on best behaviour and come across as helpful yourself, don't get shitty with him if he's the numpty that worked on it before...you can save that for when you collect the car if needs be!
ok, so this means you being nice and giving them the benefit of the doubt, which is the last thing you want to do, but if it helps solve the problems, its in your benefit.
