OK so now that I've found my dealer and 'trusted' sales person, know my spec etc. the only little niggle was the wife! :cry: She wasn't 100% sure if the Z4 was for us, after mentioning this to Andy he's' only gone that extra mile and sorted out a 3 hour test drive for me tomorrow so that I can make sure that the wife is 100% happy with me getting one :)


Talk about being excited @ 40 something! :driving: Praying for a dry day :)
 
:poke: U could always get a new wife or less if she is the one paying for it.
I'm lucky my wife is petrol head like me, I've gone out before and bought cars and bikes without her knowing lol. 8)
 
My mrs hates the Z too.....said she prefers the SLK too.....I have to say this, the SLK 350 has a great engine and far more comfortable!!!
 
Just one question.... What the hell has the wife got to do with a bloke buying a sports car? :D

P.S - my last two have been red and she never even noticed when I swapped :evil:
 
My missus has given up trying to have a say in stuff like this a long time ago!! As long as the bills are paid and there's money for a couple of family hols a year it's all good.
 
I seem to be in a minority. My wife loves the zed and has talked me into buying each of the three that I've owned!

That's not to say that I don't love zeds as well.

My wife pretends it's an unnecessary indulgence that she disapproves of, but I know she loves it really. She loves the way it looks and gets almost as much of a buzz from hooning as I do, even though she doesn't drive it. And she prefers the current one to my last as it's on stock suspension and is therefore Bentley smooth in comparison :wink:
 
Well she doesn't drive and TBH I'm getting one even if she doesn't like it lol...I only asked her to come thinking I was being nice by involving her!

I was however a little shocked last night when I mentioned the test drive and her reply was "It's going to be embarrassing"!!! A little confused I asked what is?, "Driving around in it"!!!, even more confused thinking what's embarrassing about driving around in a £30k+ BMW sports car, I asked why? "When we're stopped at the lights with the roof down everyone looking thinking look at them posing gits", I replied with 'well you've got two choices, you don't have to go in it'...and then left the room quickly :P

lol been together for 23 years now :wink: I'm used to dealing with conflicts so she's a pussy cat!!!....Anyway, we took the car out today and she likes it!!!!

Is there a way to program the car to have a digital speedo on the dash? That's one thing I did think was missing.

Mike hates the roof down in the car. He says its not a good look for a bloke and well I'm a female so nobody is thinking anything about him. More like why is that girl driving that car. My dad tells me that people stare driving with the roof down as he says I look to young lol.

So just to reassure you its not just your wife. I actually feel embarrassed driving about with the roof up when it's nice, just to please him
 
My wife said what do we need one of those for when we have a free company car.coming up to nearly a years ownership of a nice tidy Z that she ended up choosing ( result) now when ever we go out she now always stands next to the Z first ! :driving:
