Lights upgrade?

Hi,

After now mainly driving in the dark to and from work I have decided the lights are crap (03 3.0 Roadster).

What are the options for an upgrade? I would prefer just a bulb replacement for a better one but do people go further than this?

Can anyone recommend a really good bulb? Don't mind spending a few quid to get good ones, at the moment I have resorted to spending a lot of my time in high beam mode, thing is people dont even flash me!! Confirming how crap they are!
 
I have Xenons on my Z4, but on my old E46 I upgraded the OEM bulbs to Osram Nightbreaker Plus's.

They were super - really clear and really bright.

E46 bulbs are same fitment as Z4 so are certainly available. Think I paid ~£40 on eBay for a pair?

Have a look at the PIAA website. They sell some amazing bilbs which will do the job. I've got 100w rally bulbs in mine and they are great, but am tempted by the PIAA ones.
 
You will still need to adjust the height of the headlight. One to two complete turns is normally what's required

Surely you can't have xenons or their not setup right, mine are oem filaments and stupid bright
 
Bosch Pure Light (I suggest Googling), won the Auto Express review compared to other bulbs promising +70% etc
 
Save your money and simply lift your headlights using the white adjustor, it is by far the most effective thing to do IMO short of fitting HIDs.
 
Even the xenons are rubbish.... So I'd imagine halogens to be totally useless.

As above raise them two clicks up first... If that doesn't help then get some new bulbs.
