Lights on dashboard have come on.

Hi guys .
I bought my z on sat and all was well till last night
I went out for a ride and had 3 lights all come on at the same time .
Yellow handbrake light , dynamic traction control ( yellow triangle in a circle ) and the abs .all yellow .
As I only just bought the car will ring the dealer and go find an indy to read the faults etc .

Make sure they print out the fault history, will help you if the fault was present at the time of sale.
Don't take any BS from the dealer regarding warranty, the sale of goods act is what you want to read up on and use.

I have read that sale of goods etc .
I rang dealer and they will pay for anything it needs done and I have a 3 month gold warranty .
Will get the faults read and the history and go from there .
It was just serviced and front pads done I also noticed the cover was off the lug where you just start the car from also a little brake fluid on the fluid cap . Hopefully I can get the faults read today

Potentially the ABS module which is serious money from a dealer ...
 
I have spoken to the garage I bought the car off
And he will pay for the repairs if any .
I'm trying to book it in with a indy in Bredbury
This afternoon .
I guess if it is serious I will take the car back and demand my money back as it wasn't fit for purpose . :cry:

Just a quick update , the dsc hydro unit has gone
The indy can sort it with a lifetime warranty £400 :o
The garage has agreed to pay for the work , pay
For a hire car for me :D , and even pay me for the diagnostic check . :thumbsup:
Down side vauxhall corsa for two weeks . :thumbsdown:

Just imagine how great the drive in the Zed will be having spent 2 weeks in the Corsa :)

At least they are honouring their side, plenty would swerve it as much as they possibly could.

At least it gives you peace of mind.
 
I'll keep my eyes out for another Zed in the area in 2 weeks. I'm only up the road in Gee Cross. Good that its gone wrong now, rather than later, something you won't have to worry about again now its getting done!

Garage will be glad it is not an OEM unit, that would be closer to £2k.

With all my discount, it was still £1600 for mine.

Yes the indy got a quote from bmw £2000 + only
Two year warranty . :o
They have a place that recons them and puts a lifetime warranty on it for £400 .

Well had to leave the car at the indy yesterday :(
Picked up my hire car and ay go :oops: they are something else .
 
Well I got the phone call today .
Car is ready to go no other faults found
and all running well . :thumbsup:
Ditched the aygo back at the hire place got a taxi strait to pick up the car .
Drove the car home great job done all feels great . :driving:
Been a long week n half .

glad its all worked out. Bet your happy to be back in a zed after an Aygo! (should be call a Nogo!)
