Lights and wipers

Hi chaps,

Being a bit of a noddy, don't shoot me for not finding what I'm after on the search feature.
My headlights and wipers are as standard.

With the headlights I find them a bit poo, what bulbs am I looking for to have them really bright? Links? eBay?

Also, I'm prob going to change my wiper blades as my 320d has aero blades and they are so much better.. And look much better, which blades am I after?

Also on of the arms is squeeking slightly. Drivers side I think, when it's on the way back down. Can I wd40 to see if I can remedy this? Or is that a no no... Other than that they're working fine.

My drivers side one is the same. So bloody annoying, isn't it? :lol: I used wd40 on it, but it's only a very temporary cure as it started squeaking again after a week. Maybe using a nice blob of grease would be better, but i'm not sure what part actually causes the squeak so haven't tried this yet.

Regarding your headlight bulbs, HID's are your best bet for fantastically bright light. I have 5000k hid's in mine and the difference between uprated halogen and them is literally night and day.

I bought flatblade wipers from eBay (cheapy ones) and they don't last very long. Probably better off going for a decent brand like bosch.
 
With the retrofit flats the passenger side won't sit flush for the last couple of inches of the blade. I got an 18" blade instead of 19" to minimise it a bit but you'd need to go a bit lower still if it bothered you, 16" most likely. They wipe so well that I think it's worth it.
