Light ticking noise

Crawling along in traffic between say 1mph and about 5mph on alomst zero throttle I get a constant faint ticking noise. Sounds like it's from the rear left corner and is unrelated to speed so it's not driveline related. Quite a fast ticking, almost like an electric fuel pump noise and it ceases as soon as speed builds up. Mostly heard crawling in a slow traffic jam.

Not a real problem but now I've heard it a few times curiosity has me.

Any ideas or thoughts?

Well that probably is not it on a petrol Z4 then...lol, but it has that sort of sound to it.


Petrol pump? Where is that on the Zed?
 
last time i had that, i had some wire impaled into my rear left mud flap. it ticked faster as i drove so maybe give that a shot
 
Thanks for the throught but there is nothing obvious on the wheel or driveline and it's not speed related within ght elimited speed range that it's audible.

It's one of those things I'll have to leave until it deteriorates, shows itself more clearly and I have to fix it....
