Light help - bulb questions.....

So I had a bulb out warning light today and its the NS dipped beam that's gone. its not a biggie as I was going to replace them as they're probably the originals and utter pants. As i don't think i have xenon (even though the lights go up on start up but I do have a manual adjuster inside the car) do the high and dipped beams take H7 bulbs?

sort of normal hight beam light and a cats eye effect dipped beam light if you know what i mean.

anyway I'm going to buy new bulbs for dipped and full beam so my question is..............are they both the same type? H7?
 
similar problem here, normal dipped beam went 2 weeks ago so replaced them with some Philips super bright 1`s (H7 fitment) and now the sidelight has gone in the same side (had heavy condensation as previous owner had not sealed up back plate properly) so i want to replace the side light bulbs aswell if anybody knows what size/fitment they are?

come with free sidelights. I know there are cheaper companies available but I've only just ordered them and hopefully they'll arrive tomorrow.

but to my original question, are they both H7 (dipped and high)?
 
i very nearly went for the night-breakers aswell!

i think i have read somewhere that they are both H7 fitments but i wouldn't like to confirm that, im sure there's somebody that will confirm on here tho
 
Ok funnily enough my dipped beam NS went today also.

What is the Oem bulb out of interest?
 
Yes, they are both H7 - replaced all four on my last, non-xenon Z :thumbsup:

I think the OEM manufacturer is Osram, but I can't remember. I used Osram Nightbreakers to 'upgrade' mine, so they should be fine.
 
Out of curiosity, do the night breakers have a slight blue tint to them? I've got 2 sets of the Philips super bright bulbs now and Altho they are brighter they still have the off white/slight yellow look to them, I fancy a slight blue tint on my next 1s just to be slightly diff from the norm
 
I changed one of my dipped bulbs yesterday.

Tip - before pulling the connector off the bulb, turn anticlockwise to release the bulb, then disconnect being careful not to drop the retaining ring. The bulb and retaining ring come away together!
