Indy turned the light off for me-I have been under the zed this afternoon to see if I can see any wires chaffing (I could not see anything amiss).srhutch said:Come on then Andy, whats the situation now?
Have you given it a bloody good drive?

Andy I doubt very much that you will see much under the zed that tells you it is in desperate need of a REALLY GOOD DRIVE![]()

I hate to have to point the obvious out Andy, but unless you take it for a GOOD LONG DRIVE it probably has never reached it normal operating temperature![]()
andysat said:srhutch said:He is in denial.-Someone mentioned it may be a chaffing wire.
And plenty of people have also told you take it for a GOOD Drive I agree with your chaffing point mate, but when it came on time before last -the car was going over very bumpy stretch of road for a couple of miles-which made me think has something been jolted e.g a wire?srhutch said:Lack of throttle is the problem![]()
If it was a chaffing wire it would come back quickly I would have thought due to contact.
Seriously once a month at least get the car nice and warm and drive it hard. I don't mean thrashing but foot to the floor up through the gears using the full rev range once or twice.
Cheers for the input, had a probe stuffed up the exhaust a couple of weeks ago for MOT -I will post the readings from the print out tomorrow as they are in the zed at the mo.teamemmenracing said:Just thought Id throw this in the mix .......
First thing Id do is pop into my local kwik fit .... And have them stick the emissions probe up the exhaust pipe ... If the emissions are good, then you know everything is working .... And you know know which direction to look.
If emissions are way off .... Then its either O2 sensors or cat .... If you have changed the O2 sensors .... Then ....
Anyway, doubt theyd charge you more than 20 quid for whats a 2 min test .......![]()
Thanks- had an indy do that when they took it for a 40 mile hoon-everything was reading as it should do :roll:mac27040 said:If you connect up INPA software you can check live stats and O2 sensor etc
