Seen these advertised for monday, anybody bought them in the past and if so are they any good. The price is good but what about the quality :?

I've got either the ones from Lidl or the ALDI ones and they're fine. Mine have TUV approval, can't ask for more than that.

Cheers a11y that will do for me off to Lidl on monday

I should have added earlier, but if they have their trolley jacks again then I wouldn't bother with those. I suppose they're OK for the money but mine lasted for "only" 3 or 4 years before it was looking decidedly dodgy (body was twisting) so I binned it. That was a moderate amount of use though and the axle stands are still going strong.

I got a trolley jack from Aldi a couple of weeks ago as it was half the price of Halfords. It lasted 1 day - the whole thing twisted as it was lifting. Took it back and ended up going to Halfords. You pays your money and you takes your choice.

Re: Lidl axle stands?

I guess they're ok if you have a lidl car but if you have a big car ..........

 someone had to say it

I have both of these. The stands look fine. The jack works but I suspect it won't last to much abuse. If you only need a jack now and again it is good value. If you use a jack a lot, I'd look at a more expensive make.

my axle stands must be 30 years old and still going strong, don't think they were from Lidl or Aldi

I'm sure the axle stands will be just fine so long as you use them on a level car on level ground and in any event way better than the usual nothing...

Jacks - Costco is the place for either lightweight alloy race jack with good lift, or the 3 ton low entry jack than can take half the car up 18" both in the £70 to £80 region
