Liam's Z4C race car project

Well, that was close!
Have to wonder, if it hadn't been for the cheeky nudge onto the grass at the pit entrance, then leading to two back markers being in the way at the end of the straight, whether it would have been a different result?
Liam that was unlucky. Brilliant race in what looked like a better handling, overall faster car, just missing a bit of grunt.
If that is still with the slight power drop you mentioned then it bodes well for the rest of the season.

That was so close . Kept up really well against the M3 engine . Great stuff :driving:

I watched the video from the race as well and was really getting into it at the end!

Good Job [ref]Liam22[/ref] for keeping the pressure on for so long despite the clear lack of power on the straights. I hope a tune to go with the MILVs will get you 10ish HP to help but I guess you'll need more to really be keeping up on top speed. Is a DRS system allowed?

https://www.kasselperformance.com/ flashed the ECU today. All done over the Internet using a boggo INPA cable I bought from Amazon for £20.

Timing and fuelling adjusted for exhaust "headers"
VANOS points changed
DISA activation point changed
Valvetronic recalibrated for MILVs
Valvetronic "throw" extended
Rev limit increased to 7200rpm
vMax limiter removed

Nice service, very efficient. Took less than an hour, and future tweaks will be very fast.

I've got another dyno session booked next month for a definitive result but we'll see how it feels when I'm back at Silverstone later this month.

:yeah: Great news ( hopefully) :D  Did you have to upload any logs to them ?

If I ever get to 155mph on a race track I will have a serious problem!

No uploads were required, although they did a thorough examination with INPA before making any changes. I could not get any dyno time until 3rd week of June and I have 2 races booked before then! The alternative was to remove the MILVs :(

The next time I drive the car will be for qualifying at Silverstone next weekend.

Awesome Liam! How much did it all end up costing in the end regarding the mapping? Have you had a chance to go up the road in it yet? Sneeky third gear pull 👀

I paid $359

No opportunity to drive the car until I roll it off the trailer into the Silverstone paddock next weekend :?

Hi Liam, can`t find results for qualifying yesterday . Not available on TSL at the moment . Hope it went OK . Good luck

Made a mistake with the dates. Just finished qualifying. I think it's a bit quicker now

Cant see you anywhere on the qualifying or results . Did you give this one a miss ?
Unfortunately I had to withdraw due to illness. Better now, but still gutted to have missed it :(

25-Jun Clubsport Trophy Oulton Park

Hi Liam,

Good luck at Oulton tomorrow . Tyre choice could fun looking at the weather forecast .

Ha! Thanks. I only brought dry tyres with me so I won't have any difficult decisions to make :D

Haven't been to Oulton Park for 4 years so I'm looking forward to re-learning it in the Z4.
