LHD lights?

Any issues with buying a LHD set of lights? i.e. are they adjustable?

I know when you get aftermarket you can switch the lenses so it's suitable for LH or RH drive cars. Is this possible on BMW standard lights too? Or they specifically designed so you can't?

Must be a way? Otherwise when you go abroad it would mess with that countries beam pattern and dazzle everyone?

To aid clarity here's the lights in question:

Cheers, Kis.

You can make the beam flat so as not to dazzle aboard, but a flat beam i.e. a LHD set of lights used here would fail the MOT.

Not sure that's correct. Section 1.8 only says on e lights any kick up must be to the left.
Happy to be corrected and separrately I would always use correct lights and not LHD with a flat beam

What do you think?

Reason for Rejection
1. The beam image contains a ‘Kick-up’ that is not visible on the screen.

Mine's a late 2014 car ... the lights dip flat so it doesn't matter which side of the Channel you're on! My Jaguar lights are the same. I assumed it was standard on the BMW, it is on the Jag.

That's a totally different situation and type of light. I too have Jags and both have the same type of lighting that doesn't have the left 'flick'

Need to go near to my tyre supplier today and has MOT station so will ask for their view on this as related to older E marked lights

If it's present it needs to be on the screen, but if it's not present then it doesn't contain any kick so can't be failed?
I noticed the diagram has changed, it used to show the beam not just the zone.

Another look .... After his posts it mentions a '15' plate E85 ... I assumed it was a 2015 car ... obviously not looking at the pics and of course there was no such car so not sure what that refers to! ... I've no doubt they did have old fashioned dipped beams in those days! I had a 2008 E86 3 litre but blowed if I can remember if the lights dipped left or flat! ... :?
