The Z4 is a great eveayday car that you can have some fun in, it will never handle like a mid engine car, so it doesn't try be that and it excels in what it is, yes a sportscar but also a long legged comfortable cruiser to drive to the South of France in, holiday luggage for two and not feel like you've had eight hours of back surgery when you get there.

Can I say this exactly sums up my feelings, I sometimes miss front end sharpness, but only occasionally. But I love the fact that I can chuck camping gear in the boot and head off to a festival 4 hours away without a thought. And then when I have the chance it's a bit of a hoot to launch it down a B-road, blast off up a dual carriageway, or have a face stretching moment on a roundabout.
Then do a glam top down school run. As a daily and main car it excels, with one caveat - you have another car for more space.

As a GT convertible the G29 fits the bill well, it looks good, sounds good, will cruise all day at low revs, it’s comfortable, luggage space for a full weeks trip and can be serviced at your local BMW dealer. It’s doesn’t handle like a 718, if that’s what is more important, buy one, horse for courses, both are very good at what they do
