Picked it up last night and I absolutely love it. Not enjoying working today whilst it's sat on the driveway so I'll be out if here for some roof down fun as soon as I can manage. :driving:

As promised here are some photos.

Sanremo looks so many different colours depending on the light and my phone camera is not doing it justice but it's stunning and I'm really happy I went for it!

Congratulations, that's stunning (even in green ) and the cognac interior goes really well

Looks great. Did see that colour combo on a M4 in Italy on a dull day and didn't like it. Looks a lot better on a Zed

simply stunning enjoy. Roll on the 24th, i`ll bet its raining on handover day.

Tweeky I'll keep my fingers crossed you get a sunny day on the 24th. It was pretty special driving it out of the handover bay into the sunshine so hopefully you get to do the same. :)

Thanks everyone!

Looks brilliant. Love the colour combination. I’m sure you will spend many happy hours driving it.

Article sponsored by BMW (UK)! :D

Sure it wasn't "one of the best ICE, manual, convertible cars made by BMW in 2025"? :? :poke:

I think it’s gonna be a belter Sars. :driving:

Nothing more than nosey curiosity…. What made you go for this over a Boxster be that new or 2nd hand, as the 4.0 gts can be had for the same money-ish, admittedly it’d be a poor spec one…?

Honestly, and this is going to be controversial, I believe the the zed to be a better car for me. There are three things that make the 718 Boxster GTS stand out as a drivers car, first the a high revving engine that you have to work and sounds great. Second, mid engine balance, there's a reason racing cars are mid engine after all and lastly steering feel.

And if I was a skilled driver, who didn't spend eight hours on a motorway every other week, did a lot of country road driving, live in country where safe speeding isn't considered a hanging offence and prepared to spend £85k to get the specification I really wanted. Yes then I'd have one as well as an automatic Z4 M40i to drive when I wanted easy living. I may have said this before, I love my Louboutin's to go out for an evening with, but to spend a day in, no thank you.

In my mind the handschalter pack, gives that extra icing on the cake for the zed, a bit more driver interaction and enjoyment over an easier to live with automatic. The Z4 is a great everyday car that you can have some fun in, it will never handle like a mid engine car, so it doesn't try be that and it excels in what it is, yes a sportscar but also a long legged comfortable cruiser to drive to the South of France in, holiday luggage for two and not feel like you've had eight hours of back surgery when you get there.

Beautiful.
Congratulations.
I’m sure my neighbours MSport 420i is the same green.
The interior contrast is amazing too.
All those long summer days ahead to look forward to :driving:

Thanks, i absolutely love it!

Went for a run up the rest and be thankful today then down the military road into Loch Goil. Back out over to Dunoon then hopped on the ferry to get home. Can't beat a run in the Scottish scenery on a sunny day! Here's hoping we get a decent summer! I actually haven't driven it with the roof up yet! 😎

Stunning, just love the colour and as you say it’s as if it changes in the light. We have been fortunate in Scotland the past few days with that wee yellow thing in the sky.

Enjoy your drive, just love the combo you have chosen :driving:
