Lexus IS V8

the ISF? Despite the comments that it is lacking dynamically compared to say the M3 which I suppose is in a similar brackets, I can't forgive it for those fake tail pipes!

I considered an IS-F to replace my M5, but it's quite a bit smaller in the back (not sure why that bothered me - I very rarely carry back seat passengers).

I did end up buying an IS250 SE-L (2.5 litre, V6) for my weekly commute. It's very well built, has an amazing amount of toys, and Lexus's dealers are orders of magnitude better than BMW's in just about every respect. The car itself is a bit soft for me (I partly bought it to slow myself down!) but the F-Sport and IS-F versions have stiffened suspensions.

Like any small-volume high performance variant, you need to know what you're looking for before you buy one. They are quite rare, so good ones sell very quickly, and there are also a couple of Cat D's around, so it's buyer beware. A good place to start is the IS-F forum on the Lexus Owners' Club website -
