levelling ramps instead of car ramps?

Has anyone used caravan levelling ramps to raise up their z4 instead of using metal car ramps?

The reason I ask is that low profile long metal car ramps seem to be really expensive. Caravan levelling ramps are quite widely available, used for £20 - £30 and have progressive low profiles. I was mainly looking at Milenco brands. They are plastic but have load capacities of 2-2.5ton but can raise the car about 18cm. I think this should be high enough for my needs

I've got some "low profile" ramps I made out of old planks of decking which are basically four different lengths screwed together to form a ramp, with some chamfering on the leading edges and works well enough at raising the low cars up enough to get the trolley jack under the car.

The Halfords car ramps I have are too steep an angle to drive the low cars onto.

Hadn't thought about caravan levelling ramps, I reckon they'd do just fine from what I remember about using them back when we had a caravan. Low profile, probably leads up to slightly higher top step than my decking ramps.

@markplant has similar which work really well and are very sturdy
 
I have a set, just about raise it high enough to get my head wedged under the car.
Where they do come in useful is creating some height for jacking up from the front or rear.

I have the exact same ones as miscowjones. They are brilliant. Used them on loads of different cars. Just high enough to let you crawl under if it's just a quick job, or like miscow said great to give you a bit of height to better get jack's/stands in the right place. Take up a lot less space than metal ramps and don't slide about like metal ramps can
