Letting the other half use the zed...

Being half asleep this morning I stupidly said the wife could use the zed. Now I've got 2 hours of worrying about where she'll park, how she'll drive it and what state shell bring it back. Also, it never quite feels right after someone else has used it.

How do you guys feel about your other halfs 'borrowing' the car?

Offered the Z to the mrs this morning as i'm supposed to be doing a bit of diy she refused to take it in case somebody bangs it in the car park :thumbsup:

It's an absolute "nicht nicht!" :!:

The miserable condition of her battered Clio is the best testament to her abysmal driving skills.

I prefer to wake up in the wee hours and give her a lift, or to pick her up in the evening at a location as remote as Reykjavik.
 
As with Dav - never gonna happen. It's not that she's not a good driver generally speaking - she's very considerate and safe. But her car is a 4x4 so doesnt worry about kerb scuffs as she just drives straight over them! Will you but spending the next few hours finding an excuse to check round the car when she returns without her knowing that your checking round the car?!?
 
Yep, I let my other half drive MY Zed and he treats it with the same care that I do - no scuffs or scratches on my car or wheels :D

X 2. He's got a 350Z himself so I have no worries about letting him drive mine.
 
Mrs B is insured and permitted, and I sometimes make the offer. However she refuses to drive it as she's terrified she'll hurt it :roll:
 
My better half or worse half (depending on the day) will not only drive it, but also will not ride in it. Too rough for her rump. :?
 
She's insured to drive it ( makes insurance cheaper ) but scared to drive it - the bonnet just goes on and on - hard enough for me to see anything over the front let alone her !
 
it's a car...a thing...an object that's meant to be used and driven. damage can happen at any time to whoever is driving the car and it's one of those things - in the grand scheme of things, not a life changing event.

This isn't meant as a criticism, but I can't understand why people are so precious about their cars. Conversely, some of you will not be able to understand my point of view.
 
Mine has full access to use and drive the Zed. She knows it means a lot not kerbing it, etc. and is really careful.
Given our other daily drive is many times the value, then it's no big deal. :thumbsup:
