lets turn this z4 into an m5

Unless you can do it yourself, can you imagine the cost of the labour to do that conversion (including any body/interior/chassis changes to make the bigger engine/gearbox/diff fit into the shorter wheelbase)

I'd supercharge or twin-charge the car instead - and then you'd not have to live with the appalling fuel economy of the V10 (less than 20mpg average even taking it easy).

I have been thinking about both options. And the SCharged option is cheaper and easier but more common. It all depends what your after. I am hopping to supercharge mine next year but not with a kit as they type of charger they offer in the kits is not what I am after.

I want if possible and it might not be? but a big twin screw charger for low down grunt. My plans are to save a lot of cash and get another 3.0l engine and rebuild with forged up rated bits in bobs then swap them over. It will have to be a lot cheaper than a kit and define toy cheaper than the engine transplant!!

But the m5 engine in a zed would be amazing and 8) I think it's been done somewhere in Europe.

There was asking price of about £90000 on this Hartge V10 back in 2008, so it makes you wonder how much he spent doing the conversion - looks like it was double the price of the car at the time, or about £40k conversion cost.
