So I have had this car now since last November. Washed it numerous times. Clayed it a couple. Three applications of Maquires carnuba car wax.
Might have applied a couple coats of Armour All on the plastic window strips a couple of times to get them black but gave up on that effort as it only lasted a day or 2.

So tonight I washed the car, (Maquires Gold) and Im drying it off to get rid of water spots and I dried the windows off and saw a black smudge on my rag. I thought that was odd so I took close look at the window molding.

Then I touched it... and my finger print was embedded.....

It's only the bottom of the molding and both sides. :x
Is there anything I can do to stop this soft deterioration or am I screwed till I get the molding replaced?

One of the products you've used has caused the rubber to soften, it's not a sign of ageing where rubber becomes fragile and brittle. Sorry there's no cure

IIRC Armour All is quite oily, hydraulic oil for example will knacker rubber, soften and distort it and and as Sars says ruin it. Obviously you've not used hydraulic oil but there may well be fluids in the product you've used that have similar properties.
