Lets see your Watches

Not a new watch but a new strap, I fancied an Erikas Originals strap but they are strong money for what they are so I took a punt on a similar one on amazon, I actually preferred the plain hook fastner to the Erikas one.20220201_133950.jpg

Fitting was easy and once you've secured it a few times it's easy and after a couple of months I'm still really happy with the quality and fit, it's really comfortable and holds the quite heavy watch well for an elastic strap.
Can't go wrong for £20 really and much cleaner IMO than a nato strap.

Well gents, [ref]mr.tourette[/ref], [ref]Zeld4[/ref], my second xmas purchase, a Prospex 2022 Limited Edition “Shu-iro” arrived today. Have to say very pleased with it  :D

Oh, btw Steve, my cheeky wee low eBay bid for the other one was met with a swift GTF!!!

That really is lovely, nice purchase!

Said before but forgot to add pics - my early Christmas present from me to me :P

Very pleased!

As an owner of the Sumo version of this watch, I'd have to say it looks great, wouldn't I? The dial is beautiful, pics never seem to do it justice

This has bee sat in an outhouse window for 15 odd years. Still working and time was almost correct. Now its going back in the window before the spiders get angry.

My watch returns
After an absence of 14 months, my beloved watch has returned. It stopped working while on an automatic winder (no longer used) and I sent it for repair. Over the past year it has had more trips to Switzerland than I have but has now returned. If anyone is looking for an honest quality watch repairer, I cannot recommend Simon Freese (Southend) enough. It was not his fault the clean and repair took so long, as once Cartier got their hands on it, things slowed down. Delighted to have it back.

I picked this Tissot Navigator diver up recently, it's in fantastic condition and came with a full size bracelet. It's guarantee paperwork says it was sold in 1980 but I believe they were produced from 1970-79. Not sure the box is correct for the model but it certainly looks from the era.
It will be off for a service next week so that it's 100% inside and out.

Liking that a lot

Picked up my birthday and Xmas present from Kathleen on the way to the run in Wales on Friday. Very pleased with it, probably sits the best on my wrist of any of my watches. Made to commemorate the first man made vehicle to exceed 100 mph. I’m sure there’s some relevance in there  Free watch winder with it too so all good.

Thanks, I think it is but not 100% sure. It’s available on Ball’s website. One of the many things I really like is it’s got shaped lugs so even through it’s quite big it doesn’t sit across your wrist but round it if that makes sense? I really like the crown protector too

Picked up this Accurist Retro Racer yesterday from H Samuel reduced from 130 quid to 90, have to say it's a lovely watch for the money,

Very similar to my Geckota at 300 quid think it's using the same case :?

Like that a lot Andy. Does it have tritium tubes? - website just says gas tubes? I always wear a Marathon with those at night - incredibly bright - for the next 25 years at least 8)

Cheers Vaughan, yes it does have tritium tubes. The 12 o’clock market is a yellowish/orange colour and the rest is green. It was a bit unusual to start with but looks good. Yes, it’s got the 25 yr guarantee on the tubes.

I’ve too keep this one for a wee while, she just didn’t specify how long

I am a sucker for a cushion case, that reminds me of a Tag Monza I once had

Chronographe Suisse c.1950, in solid 18K. I have mine on a complementary gold expansion bracelet.

Many thanks,

The strap is pretty decent quality to be honest, clasp is a little cheap feeling and quite stiff to adjust but really for the £££s you can't complain and is easily replaced.
