This thread just caught my attention. Cars and watches ......it's a man thing!

This is what I am wearing now.
Is that the dial Apple ripped off without due consideration to Mondaine?

Which Mondaine "borrowed" the Swiss and French railways as indicated on the watch. Its a retro remake and the same symbols are on the railway pallets.

Finally bought an early Fortis Spacematic... Longtime dream come true.

 Nice.
I've been a huge fan of Fortis for a long time, but have never been in the right place/right time to justify one - there's always 'something else' that gets the watch money. One day....

I remember getting a Casio calculator watch in 1979 when I was 13 for Christmas. I saw it advertised in the National Geographic (beats the catalogue which was the normal route for choosing presents in them days), it was the business.... I planned to cheat in every maths exam with it!

I think you need to get a proper one - one that’s been slightly melted by insect repellent. Beautiful patina.

With all the current doom and gloom I thought it was about time to pick up a new timepiece :)

Plumped for the Q Timex Falcon Eye to match the Q Pepsi.

I hadn’t realised Timex were still on the go!

Still on the go Ron, they're doing some decent watches at the moment although milking it on the reissues from the 70s which have sold like hotcakes.

I remember the advertising on the TV when a Timex was strapped to the prop’ of a Donald Campbell speed boat “ and it’s still ticking!”
