Is it here i confess :D had a weak moment & bought a Oris BC4 chrono this week so looking to sell my Oris Aquis .http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=100600
I'm not on any watch forums but will stick it online elsewhere at some point , for those watch watchers feel free to shout up if its unrealistic or i'm missing vital info

Hi,, Chronext.co.uk has 2 for sale @ ca £1K. bear in mind they give 1 years warranty on pre-owned watches

Thanks for the input , in truth id be happy with £700ish including the spare rubber strap ( though ive been offered £85 for that separately ? :? )
Might take that then drop to £625 , , then again i might just keep it for work at that money :D

It"s one of them,,,,, not enough in it by selling it, but should grow in value because there is some quality there.
I keep as many as possible but then my ex always called me a bit of a hamster. Keep it in the box, always more money a for complete set

So the Oris BC4 landed at weekend & couldn't be more pleased :) what i think was a crazy price too , i was initially watching new ones on Amazon around £1500 ( half the original selling price when launched a few years back)
Price kept dropping until the point i couldn't stop myself  :P paid far less for it new than used ones are selling for

The search is still on for a planet ocean, but someone mentioned the seiko, and for the money I thought why not?

At least I won't be precious about it!

Good plan , having a beater that won't break your heart if scratched or damaged from daily use is a fine idea

Got this yesterday, one of the first to get it, but my payment was putting 114 of them in boxes, ready for shipping out...

IMG_6399.JPG

I'm likeing that and a good price too, it reminds me of the 60s Heuer panda dial :)

I have a weakspot for kickstarter watches as the chances are you will never see another, unlike Rolex's, Omegas etc.

Tim.
Thanks Tim, it's my brothers company, hence I boxed them, still had to pay for the watch!

You should definitely buy a few though! I'll make sure they are boxed well for you!

I've gone for the classic white like yourself Sam, should arrive on Friday :)

Tim.

Yes....."beating Rolex's release of the Submariner by a year in 1953" what I mean is the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms was released in 1952 . In fact I think you'll find that it's generally accepted that the Fifty Fathoms was around for a little longer than a year before Rolex released the Sub. And the French Military were using it first along with a little know French diver called Cousteau .

I know I know, did read some years ago after Rolex tried to make claims on being the "first" divers watch, then Lip/Blancpain shed some light on their reality

1953 blancpain for sale on "onthedash.com 26500 usd....... I feel like crying

I got this Montbrillant about 10 years ago, looking for an everyday watch, came across an odd eBay ad for this watch, no pictures, a very short and nondescriptive ad, a phone number in the ad, and a really good price, the sort of thing that will put most people off, so I called and got through to this nice lady at a solicitors in Essex, she explained that the watch belonged to her boss, the head solicitor, she was his pa, he had asked her to sell it for him, she had it in front of her, so I asked about the box and paperwork and markings on the back, she had the receipt, all good, so I asked if I could come and see it, have worn it everyday since, I negotiated an already really good price for cash, it was a steal!
