I have a few collected now (some pics below are generic but they are the same watch):

Rado Centrix

Longines Hydroconquest Chrono (My Daily - bought as a present to myself on my 30th)

Vintage 1972 Seiko Bullhead (Family Heirloom, was given to Dad on his wedding day by my maternal grandfather, both now passed on so its mine) When I found it, it was in disrepair, recently had a full restoration including repaired movement, new pushers and crown, new bracelet, re-lumed hands, new gaskets, full clean and re-brushed/polished casing. The restoration was extremely considerate as i wanted to retain some of the scratches both on the case and the bezel to ensure it retained its character.

1913 pocket watch, belonged to my great grandfather, then grandfather, then dad, now me! Has a West End Company face but on a recent repair I discovered the movement is actually by Longines - number 000113 made from that line.

I have 4 or 5 others as well, but these are my most cherished. Not about the money, it about what they are worth to me. As for the fake discussion... well, I couldn't give a crap what other people think or see, When I buy/use a watch, I like to know whats on my wrist is real and/or has meaning/value. :)

Currently have my eye on a IWC Spitfire and an Omega Seamaster.
Longines likey likey

The Eterna Chrono i covet will have to wait , a weak moment & new watch ordered :)
Glycine KMU manual wind PVD

I've had my eye on a Glycine Airman for a long time - I like the brand. That's a lovely looking chrono you've ordered there, Mr Wilks

I'd really like a Bell & Ross but every time I've been close to buying for some reason I've changed my mind.

Think it might be a watch I'll get bored of.

Still with the big 40 up in 6 months I might treat myself.

More so than most you pay for the whole marketing story with B&R. The mechanicals are very average.

Each to their own though :)

Nice mr Wilks. I don't mind some of Glycine's stuff, but that 5 and 7 cut off would drive me up the wall on these!

I really like some of their designs although not the square ones they are famous for I love the BR02 and also the BR123

Really won't bother me in the slightest , i just love the detail of the watch & was particularly after a leather strapped watch to add to my collection as my others are all bracelets barring a rubber strap for a Oris that i did try but not keen on the look or feel :(
The other possible was the Incursore (below) but the combo of the KMU with tan strap , blue seconds finger & manual wind left me in no doubt its the watch for me .
Its all positive talk RE the Glycine online so don't think i'l be disappointed

Its actually 48 as in KMU 48 which is large i agree but whilst i'm not a big guy at 5-8 / 11 stone i do have hands like shovel's  & going off my Oris Aquis on 43mm i think it should be ok :?

Its PVD so planning to wear it more as a going out weekend watch as opposed to all day every day so not like i have to live with it on a daily basis

Very nice big seconds there Andy. Enjoy. I was saving for something special while in Hong Kong next month, but the overspend on a later Discovery as put paid to that, so looks like window shopping

Anybody know any good sites for buying second hand watches? Thanks to this thread I can feel another purchase coming before christmas :headbang:

I picked 3 / 4 watches i was interested in & scoured the web both new & used for the last few months , its surprising what turns up & you at least get a feel for what is a true new & true used value .
Many times i saw new versions of certain watches offered cheaper on Amazon than second hand on Ebay :o as with cars mr P do your homework & know your numbers

Do you have any other PVD's? You might be a bit disappointed with it for a daily wearer, as the PVD doesn't seem to last as well as it should. Maybe you should look at some DLC's instead?
That Oris looks about as big as you'd want to go on your wrist, hope the Glycine doesn't hang off the edges :| .
And that answers Pastry's question - where's the best place to get second had watches - Off other members who buy on impulse then change their minds

First Pvd & will only get worn minimally at weekends
Not selling any of my previous watches
Building a collection to enjoy & pass on to my son as soon as he shows some interest in them
