Like those very much. Very 70s top find

I've always a little softspot for motor racing inspired watches with a retro feel. Also like the fact they will be in fairly limited numbers :)

Just ordered myself a Hamilton Ventura :D
Always loved these - very quirky and iconic. Unmistakable, and a good choice for the MIB movies
Yeah the film brought it to my attention and when I looked into its history I couldn't resist! Picking it up on Wednesday can't wait!

Very unique. Doubt you'll bump into many others with one.

This was his 'impulse' purchase the other week. It's currently off the bracelet and on some other Nato type strap. Excuse the display stand, he ordered a case off eBay and the dealer who sent it loves the work he does so sent him lots of other goodies (that happens quite a lot)

I quite like it. I'm holding the money for the rather limited Zenith that's due for release soon to make sure he doesn't waste it on more watches!

I had issues, well a bad reaction to my Garmin which was a shame so I've got this Fitbit now and love the fact I can change the straps. Me and the other half are currently testing watch straps for H&I as they are launching their own watch straps collection with them being made to order from Kaufmann. So far so good and I'm mixing and matching. Quite like the colours I picked a few months ago.

Damn... how do I unsubscribe from this thread, because I feel a dangerous compulsion to add some more wrist jewellery to the collection - there are some great examples in this thread that are calling to me...

Too late for me , i'm hooked on Oris & already considering a friend for my Aquis
Now I don't frequent any watch forums but I know many guys here do so feel free to PM me with any interesting Oris that come up
Im particularly keen on the Artix GT , either day date or chrono ( would prefer  )

That's a handsome watch mr Wilks, are they crazy money?
Rob

That's a ranging question mr Bear but in the scheme of things for a premium quality Swiss made automatic watch I don't think they are crazy at all , i honestly believe they are selling way under their worth if compared to Omega , Rolex , Breitling or Tag :? ( i have a Tag & a Breitling so not talking blind )
The 2 linked above are currently £1300 & £1800 ( approx. ) brand new but ideally a mint 12 month old for 20% less would be my target
I don't buy them to sell 6 months later or to keep boxed & not used , i enjoy wearing them & hopefully at some point my son will appreciate them
If you are taken with the Oris have a look in a jewellers at them , quality is supreme & feel indestructible
I currently have the Aquis date which you can buy used / as new for well under £900 with blue, black or green instead of orange
Put that retirement back a month & treat yourself

they are, i do really want a Rose gold PP Nautilus another one of his greats but will wait till next year for that one.

is a strange ratio when the watch your wearing is worth 4 times as much as the car your driving.

As a connoisseur of watches mr H what's your thoughts on Eterna ? http://bestswisswatches.info/631/eterna/eterna-1240-41-63-0219-kontiki/

Eterna are a brand with some serious history, they developed the ETA branded movements which were fitted in pretty much every sub £4k watch and still are in a lot of them.

The brand all but dissapeared but was taken over a few years back and gas been releasing some really nice watches... Been tempted by a good few of their recent offerings

Yea I did some digging & quality & pedigree just not with a big name which is always going to affect demand if charging £2k / £3k / £4k
It seems Porsche Design owned them for a good while before selling out to a Hong Kong based company which didn't affect the quality but has hit the prices
Some great looking timepieces at very reasonable money & wondered if anyone had owned one to compare with the likes of Breitling , Omega , Tag or Oris ?
Some great designs http://www.watch-insider.com/news/good-news-eterna/

I was at a Bremont event last night at H&I. The whole collection there. They really are coming on leaps. They are also venturing into women's watches.......they weren't my cup of tea and I'd have a gents one all day long but women old enough to be my Mum or even my Gran were excited by them.

Loving the Bronze Blackbay, Steven. They've managed to get them out pretty quickly but still waiting on the first Blackbay Darks to arrive.

Some absolute beauties there guys, super cool 8)

Here are my 2, a Tag Aquaracer which is my daily from about 2004/5 can't remember tbh :D and a 1953 refurbed Omega that I bought last year for my 50th from an antique watch company in Cornwall, I only wear it a couple of times a month, my theory is its been going for 63 years so it'll see me out and I can leave it to my son when it's time to leave this mortal coil :D

If that's not a redial, the Omega is in stunning condition for its age  I love these watches, but they wear absolutely tiny on my wrist.
