Lets see your Watches

Nice choice, matthall91, but why does it seem to be taking second place to the phone in the photo? Or is it a tribute to brand loyalty? In which case, where's the BMW roundel?

I took one with the keys too, but it felt too cluttered.

I've never really explored macro photography with watches and such so it's something I'll be looking into, worry not!

But yes, there is some loyalty there...

Are you still looking for one? I might be able to help!

My daily wear is a COURG (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/reduxwatch/redux-courg-hybrid-watches-with-missions-to-tackle), thanks to a love of old aviation watches but a desire to have something I can usefully wear.

About to get a Baume et Mercer Classima 65558 (precursor to the 8833, with a 25 jewel SW200 derived movement) as an engagement present from my wonderful fiancée. I tend to only keep one smart watch around at any one time, although with this becoming a new daily, I'll be on the hunt for something else as a more subdued dress watch in the future.

I'll add photos when the latter arrives.

[edit] - watch choice for the present changed. Updated to be correct now it's here.

I posted this Seiko Divers watch in the thread some time ago but has since been modified and just got it back today from my watch maker fitted with a Dagaz "Soxa" dial which is a homage to the Doxa sub

Hi guys,

I bought a Louis Erard Heritage series, ETA movement - classic design (mine is the black dialed one). To date all my watches have been either Seiko or Tissot, but no automatics. I have an old 50's Accurist which is self wind.

The other watch is also Louis Erard, bought it for my Dad's 60th. It is a lot more expensive than mine, with the workhorse ETA 2824 movement. This one has the Dubois Dépraz 9000 complication for added calendar support. Hope he likes it !

in another thread (the locked one!) I alluded to the fact that I had smashed a much loved watch ages ago and Fossil couldn't repair it due to a lack of parts... well I have an update :D I was so chuffed to see the same watch in a jewellers in Iceland earlier this year I just had to snap it up :)

Yes and in every City and time zone on the planet

These were all the rage when I was at school.

I got this from my wife not long after we met, chosen by me though. It's survived a road cycle crash where I broke my nose and a motorcycle crash where I broke my wrist. The strap pin failed each time but not a mark on the glass.

Now decided to upgrade to something more special and got this last Friday.

I've had a quick flick through this thread and I must be the forum peasant , I've no owned a watch for over 25 years ! I can't believe some of the time pieces you lot own , though I do like the see through ones a couple of pics up .
