That's very tempting at the price, very much like the Omega Planet Ocean Orange. Thanks for the link.

So who makes a planet ocean orange rep, I'd like a look to compare to my faker baker lol
If you look Alpha watches do a PO orange and black, Parnis also do one with a naked dial. They will be better quality then your reps. Go on buy one of them and stop being a fraud.![]()

but you're coming across as someone who know little more than what he sees a looky looky man flogging on the beach or stall holder at a thai market is selling.

Funniest thing I've read on this subject "top end fakes in Dubai"![]()
You have demonstrated with that line why anything you say on this subject is laughable. Maybe you care to educate me on what made these watches in Dubai top end fakes?
.....I did wonder why my fake wrist burnt every time I wore a gen watch![]()
Best laugh I've had today![]()
They're illegal. They profit from stealing IP from other manufacturers. The sellers don't pay any taxes, so that's money lost to the Government. Guess where the govt goes to get more money when they're a bit short....? They are another source of income for organized crime, so you're helping feed the child prostitutes or drug dealers when you buy a fake watch.zagamuffin said:Always wondered why people feel so strongly on reps, not the pound shop ones obviously but well weighed and made ones, they look the same to 99% of the population and tell the time in a similar fashion ???
Always splits opinion lol

Or not. For every article saying the above, there are just as many saying the exact opposite: that they don't provide that much income for organised crime; they actually promote the genuine brands by exposure to more markets; they can be as reliable, robust and attractive as the real things, and so on...
My personal belief, buy genuine. If you can't afford one (or just don't want to pay overinflated prices), buy a less expensive, genuine brand. Seiko make all of their own parts, including the lubrication oils. Orient make in house movements for their watches. Citizen make Eco-Drive watches that never need replacement batteries, and watches that sync to GPS satellites to give accurate time whatever time zone in the world you're in (okay, that's not a cheap one - probably scratch that one off the list of examples...). Casio make atomic/radio controlled watches that sync to radio beacons automatically to always be in perfect time.
Or buy a fake Rolex so you look like you spent a lot of money.
The choice is yours, you only have to justify it to yourself (but you did ask for opinions).

I think you misunderstood my post, apologies if I wasn't very clear. I gave examples used by both sides of the argument, to show how you can support either depending on what reports or statistics you read. A quick internet search gave me compelling, 'factual' reports that claimed fakes are harmful, and others that just as clearly showed that they are not. I'm not arguing for one side or the other.TitanTim said:enzed4 said:They're illegal. They profit from stealing IP from other manufacturers. Not being funny but where's your information to support this? I'm sure it's true in some cases. I would image many fake watches are made in China. Personally I don't see it much different than say famous clothing brands and businesses using cheap slave labour and sweat shops abroad. Not many people buying the product would bat an eyelid where the product is sourced and made.

My own reason I don't buy them is because there are so many brilliant, original, innovative designs from so many genuine watch makers, at almost any price point, that I'm having too much fun looking at or buying them to look at replicas.
