Lets see your Watches

Has anyone purchased replacement watch straps from Barton? Were you happy with them? Do they live up to the expectation that their site presents? Would you recommend any alternative sellers?

I'm not a fan of the rubber strap that accompanies the Galaxy Watches and usually swap it out for some "leather" option from AliExpress/Amazon. They look good to begin with, but the lack of quality begins to shine through eventually, and I've probably spent more on replacement straps, than I would have if I opted for one or more mid-tier quality watch straps.

I have several Barton straps all in various different colours.

The Elite silicone ones are soft and very comfortable come with two sizes too for different size wrists, their leather ones are also comfortable. Their canvas ones have a tendancy to fade over time.

I would still say first watch posted on this is the benchmark!

I would agree Ronk I still have and will never sell it. I have it on today first time in months, they are the ultimate classic wristwatch in my opinion. It’s from 1987 and in original condition. My grandson is a lucky boy because that’s where it’s going on his 21st.

Is it an Automatic Tim. Some decent designs from Timex of late

Unfortunately not, they could have put a Seagull movement in it and still kept it at a reasonable cost, shame they haven't as its a nice wearable watch otherwise. Acrylic saphire which I think is more in keeping with the vintage feel.

I do like the spring bars on the strap though as each has two releases one at each end of the bar which makes releasing the strap super easy, first watch I've ever had with that.

There are quite a few brands starting to bring in easy change straps, with the spring bars, my Panzera has them, it makes sense I guess. Cartier have launched the ultimate in quick change and easy adjustment to metal bracelets, but it’s at a price point less expensive brands could not compete.

Tell a lie, there is an Auto movement in the Marlin range its just not the Chronograph version with no date, nice looking in its own right.

Nice size and a very acceptable watch for the office.
