Let's see your painted calipers

Hi guys, I bought a Z4M on the weekend (intro post in the main E85 section). A previous owner had the calipers painted in green and they are looking a bit faded now, and the front calipers have been replaced in any case.

I'm thinking of giving them all some fresh paint but unsure what colour to go for. The car is Grey Silver, so I was thinking either silver or perhaps blue to match the M badges?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. If you've had your calipers painted then please do post a picture, it's always interesting to see how different paint combos work.

Unless they are fancy 4/6/8 pots, I see no reason to draw attention to boggo brake calipers. So black Hammerite if it were me...

Good point and thanks for the link.
I'm surprised how small the standard calipers are given these have CSL discs on the front. Maybe I'll leave them as they are as the rear green calipers are set quite far back in the wheel so they aren't all that visible.
Hmm.

Yup  Number 5 on the am I a chav list.

Number 5 hasn't even posted on this thread!

I plan to paint mine black - they're black at the moment, but could do with being refreshed.

Mine had a quote of 195 a corner !
Rather use that money for big brakes haha

Don't care about the colour of your calipers Beedub, it's the alloys that are floating my boat honey :D

(and they would look even better on mine :P )

Much cleaner :)

I have noticed on some of the latest BMW's that the spring clip on the callipers has an extended plate that covers the space over the pads and has the BMW branding on it, anyone know if this fits the Z4 brake callipers?

Look a bit like this......
