We've ordered a new car for my wife and there's a 6 week wait, I must've done too good a job on the Autotrader ad for her old one as it sold in 4 days leaving us with no choice but for let her use my Z to get to and from work etc until her new one arrives. She's obviously very pleased with the arrangement and I'm feeling amazingly brave. It's really wierd watching it drive off down the road in the mornings and equally irritating to find the seat and mirrors in the wrong place every time I want to use it.How does the Z4 massive feel about letting their other halves smoke about in their pride 7 Joy ? :D

Your a brave man, I just wouldn't, My wife is the kind that waits right to the last second before even contemplating using the brake pedal.

mrs gannet is welcome to drive mine...

she is afraid of it though :o she has only ever driven it on motorways and only with me there with her. I wouldn't have a problem with her using it, though she does work at the local college so parking it in the car park would be quite brave...

Exactly - add in poor spatial awareness, parking foibles....oh god I can't even carry on its making me shiver!!!

My wife drive the Zed once, up the road and back with me cringing in the passenger seat. Then told me she couldn't see the bonnet... not driven it since :-)

Tried to pinch it one day and the kids grassed her up!

Like too see mine drive down the road with top down as she has been doing for the last week as e46 is at the doctors, but do find I check car every night esp wheels. Cant wait till tommrow as hers sould be fixed phew,I think a tank up with top shelf and a heavy foot drive should sort out the on board computers  will be like driveing a new car. :D

What a selfish lot you really are ! :poke:

You should share, it's the only fair thing to do

(my wife, suz4, owns a z4 coupe and I don't :headbang: )

She had her own for a while then got bored or something and needed something more practical. Now I let her take my Z3 to work sometimes and it's hilarious, she runs back in the house and says " Can you show me where reverse is? I can't get it in" she's OK now though, uses both hands to pull it over  and the other day she was a little sloppy on the clutch and dropped it with a bit of gas on and snapped her head back, now she rarely criticizes my driving skills...

she doesn't like the E89, too scared of scratching it or pranging it up.

I asked my wife to drop my car off at my work a couple of weeks ago, She point blank refused sayin that she does not know where reverse is because I have no markings on the Knob, even after I told her how to find it she still refused as it was parked in the garage and she refuses to reverse out, not only in my Z but also her own one.

SuZ4, you say selfish,, I call it saving money on repairs. :poke:

Lol the day ours was delivered she drove it more than I did, now's another story but still she has fun with it, guess getting her into auto cross before getting it might have contributed to the factor of insanity of bravery too

I let my wife drive my Elise to go out with a girlfriend for the day.

A week later and she's chopped in her Smart Car for an Elise and it's sitting on the driveway when I get home from work.
She wanted to surprise me with how organised she was; she sure did doing a swap/cash difference with a guy off EBay she met up with in a car park... :x
Luckily the car wasn't a lemon and we had fun seeing who could get to a nominated pub the quickest. :driving:
Of course being a gent I always let her get there first...to get the drinks in.
So beware of letting the better half drive your car unless you fancy loosing it on a regular basis.

Lent my gf the TT for a few days while her car was being reoaired. She washed it before bringing it back. Did a good job too.
