lens for clear headlight and angel project

Let me know if you need any other pics; I'm not planning on sealing them up until this weekend at the earliest.

Awesome pics, thanks! Would love to see your cut line too if poss at some point. I've been debating the best cut path to take!

Difficult to describe, but I'll try.

Coming back from the front on the headlight, before you hit the back, there is a lip. I cut just behind that. I've attached a picture of the removed lens so you can see the edge (excuse the mess; these are reopened headlights and I've yet to clean all the old silicon off)

Looking at the parts together from below the headlight:

Thanks. Good to see others doing it and all pics are helpful :D

Some pics when we split mine a couple of weekends ago as you can see lens completely intact as well as the prongs ensuring they went back together without issue, top tip take your time we spent over a couple of hours cutting but worth it the way they went back together.

I just saw that "sweeper" indicator thread in the main section, I'm 100% giving that a go as looks so good! As you say, might get away with removing that whole amber hockey stick?

It proberbly won't look right with the whole stick removed. Clears are very difficult to source, but if you split you could try tinting, or even use some silver mirror film & a light tint on the ambers?

Currently splitting a set, so if you need any pics let me know.

Agreed I bought a set of sweeping indicators but couldn't make it work without what I thought would be to much cutting.

They almost look like they were done in the oven!! (I know they weren't, but I mean they look that good like the lens was just pulled away)

Good job. It's the cutting part I'm most afraid of! Anyone sprayed their reflector black? I got recommended to buy some high build plastic gloss black that apparently doesn't require the under surface to be roughed up and also doesn't crack etc. I know from previous experience spraying over the chrome can be a ball ache too.

Yes, mine were chrome and are now satin black. Just rough up the surface with some 1500 grit paper, and use a plastic primer. Job's a good 'un.
