Just watching this guy on Jonathon Ross.

I've seen him lots of times before, including a live performance.

I just don't get it. WTF?
 
One of my friends thinks he is awesome and always buys tickets to his stand up shows (apparently they're slightly different a little more risque than you see on TV.

He thinks he's amazing - I've never got nor really found him funny in anything I've seen.....
 
He's a total parody of Norman Wisdom so I guess the slapstick / falling over style of humour gets a bit lost in our modern age. I think he can be quite funny when he wants, I've seen him in interview a few times and he always seems a nice guy when he stops fannying about.

Humour is a very personal thing though, I can't abide that Avid Merrion / Keith Lemon / Leigh Francis twat - just can't see anything funny there at all. In fact I turn the telly off or find another channel if he comes on, yet some people I know fall about laughing at him. Each to their own I guess :)

Fruit? Do you mean blackberries or 'brambles' as they were known in the black and white days.

Lee Evans is indeed a modern in colour version of Norman Wisdom.
 
Years ago when I was at uni I worked weekends as a sales assistant in Baby Gap on Regent St and one day some bloke came up asking me questions,trying to be funny. I really didn't understand his sense of humour. After he walked off a member of public told me he was Lee Evans.
Each to their own I guess.
 
I can honestly say I've never watched him. BUT, one day my girlfriend and I went to see Henry V at the Noel Coward on St Martin's Lane because she wanted to drool over Jude Law. Afterwards we had to wait outside the stage door for a glimpse of him and whilst we were waiting for a glimpse of that Prima Donna we noticed Lee Evans was starring in a play in the adjacent cinema and there was a queue of people waiting to meet him. He came out after the show and posed for photos and spoke to every single person waiting for him (and there were dozens). He didn't go back inside until they had all gone. Much respect for the man after that.

If you put him in a room with Jimmy Carr, Frankie Boyle, Sean Locke, I can't see him coming out too well.

He is about as funny as having leprosy.

Hmm, he's a manic comic and does remind me of Norman Wisdom. I loved Norman Wisdom when I was youngster and saw his films on TV and although popular he was a bit marmite then as well.

Put me down as a fan (just to keep this poll accurate).

I'm amazed at the range of different comics there are now - seems to be something for everyone.

dont find a lot of comedians that funnny , quite like some of lee evan's stuff. but he has also done a few plays for stage and tv as well as film roles. ok bit of a one trick pony as most of his characters seem to look the same, But definately a lot of twats on the telly are a lot less funny than him :thumbsup:
