LED upgrade

Evening,

Just got the car so would like to add my stamp on it. I'm sure many of you have done this so will be able to help.

I'd like to upgrade the small interior lights to LEDs. Interior lights, under the door ones (not sure what they are called), puddle lights etc etc. Just to bring them a bit whiter and a bit more modern.

I've done this before in a previous car and the trick is always finding good quality items that won't break in 5 seconds.

Can anyone tell me good versions for the BMW's? Any links? Pictures of their lights they have upgraded?

Thanks
Ben

Try this one

Thanks.

Have you tried these yourself Dr. Gonzo?

The full kit in one purchase sounds handy but not too keen on the "some z4s will bring up bulb error light".

Any one heard of or used these?

Does anyone know if the newer models use LEDs? Mine is a 59 plate. I wonder if the later models have upgraded LEDs that would work on mine.

Who's got a late E89 Z4?

Yes I am using these. No error so far they are in car for three weeks. Nice while color. Please note I havent instaled reversing LED bulbs.

Also Three Led that you use for overhead light are good enough but for my taste I wouldnt mind if they are few mm shorter. But thats just me.

One more thing if you go ahead. But this count with any other led bulbs.

If you are going to replace lights under Doors, be very careful as harnes that is connected to this lamp is quiet short. That cause problem to reconnect new lamp back.

Solution is unclip bottom clips around edge of Door casing so you get slightly more space for your fingers move casing slightly away from door and pull cable little bit but dont pull too much ... by sensible :)

Solution above you can of course skip it but in that case you have to undone all screw in door and remove all coor casing.
